Pear Ginger Hand Pie (1 pc)
4.5” hand pie, 1 piece per order.
A flaky pie crust filled with sweetened pear chunks spiced with fresh ginger.
Allergens: Wheat, Milk, Egg.
Processed in a facility that also processes nuts.
Made in a Home Kitchen.
Key ingredients in all of our baked goods benefit greatly from pollinators! Most varieties of pear require cross-pollination in order to bear fruit, so insect pollinators are vital! Pear blossoms have large amounts of pollen but relatively low sugar content in their nectar, which means they’re not always very attractive to all types of bees. Because of this, while managed honey bees are commonly used in pear orchards, they may prefer other flowers nearby. Mason bees and bumble bees may be more effective pollinators, and others such as syrphid flies, beetles, wasps, and other solitary bee species have been observed visiting pear blossoms as well.
